The Honors College will be having their elections next Monday, at 12:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, people will be able to vote on Facebook, if that is more convenient to them.
Historian, the representatives from the colleges of Business and Ag, and four representatives at large are open. Of those four, two are for underclassmen, 0-59 hours, and two are for upperclassmen, 60 hours plus.
“We have applicants for all of the positions but one of the underclassmen positions and both of the upperclassmen positions,” said Sue Nichols, Honors College Advisor.
If, for some reason, those positions are still open, the deadline will be extended so people will still have a chance.
The elections will count towards the active membership status for Honors College students, so it is extremely important to vote, said Nichols.
“We’re very pleased with the representatives that we have so far and we’re pleased that the people that put their names in for the position are new for the Honors College. The idea of having those new ideas coming in mixing with the people who’ve been in the program for a year means we’ll have a good representation of the Honors College,” said Nichols.
