The Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) PreDental Society invited anyone with a sweet tooth for proper oral hygiene on Wednesday, September 5.
New students were welcomed to the meeting in room 209 of the Biology Earth Science Hall, and discussed t-shirt ideas, details on membership, and upcoming events.
“Through bi-weekly presentations by dentists, specialists, and dental school admissions officers, the Pre-Dental Society enriches members’ understanding of the various aspects of dentistry as well as prepares members for the dental school application process,” stated the official A&M PreDental Society website.
Some of events the PreDental Society attended include the Leadership Conference on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Ballroom A in the Memorial Student Union Building (MSUB), a social at 5 p.m. the following day in Spence Park, and the Project Smile Orientation at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the KOLD room.
“The Pre-Dental Society hosts a local shadowing program, tours of the Texas dental schools, dental mission opportunities, social activities, and intramural sports,” their website states.
