In the 29th round of the MLB draft, the Atlanta Braves picked up right handed pitcher Jaden Dillon from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Dillon first played college baseball at McNeese State, before transferring to AMK for his senior year. He finished his collegiate baseball career  with the Javelinas with an 8-3 record and a 2.56 earned run average. In 81.0 innings he struck out 87 batters and held the opposition to a .221 batting average. He was also able to help the Javelinas to their second NCAA Division II Regional Tournament in school history.

By season end, Dillon had racked up many awards and honors including being named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Year, First Team Daktronics all-South Central Region and First team all-LSC. Dillon was also named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-South Central Region team  as a starting pitcher.
