Ken Oliver Resigns as Javelinas Athletic Director

Texas A&M-Kingsville A.D. Ken Oliver, who spent the last three years at the helm in Kingsville has resigned his position this morning May 2, to take a Vice President job at Central Methodist,University in Fayette, Missouri the school he began his career at. His last day will tentatively be June 15th with the Javelinas .
Oliver came to A&M-Kingsville in August 2009 after having several positions at CMU for 16 years, including football coach. The official announcement will not be made until Thursday morning.

Oliver said, “It was one of the most difficult conversations I have had to have with my staff. I told them that and opporunity had come up and that I could not turn it down.”

Ken Oliver is responsible for getting the  new renovations for Javelina Stadium underway.The Javelinas intend to break ground on their new artificial surface next week, which will include a new track. Oliver said his resignation will in no way affect that.
