Dialogue with Readership

Dialogue with Readership

So, we’ve been getting a fair amount of feedback lately. Many of these letters to the editor have been well thought out, thought provoking, and interesting to read. Others have been entertaining, if not particularly erudite. We’d like to take a moment, and clarify a couple of things: What you’re currently reading right now, is called a “Column,” it starts with a “C” but it still makes the “kuh” sound like a K. Let’s say it together, “Column.” Good! A column is the opinion of a single writer about a particular issue. Alternatively, you’ve got an Editorial, with an “E.” Editorials are the consensus of the newsaper’s staff, and offers and solution, or a call to action to a certain problem that faces our society today. It can be about a number of issues; though we often stray into the realm of the political. As you might imagine, this can often make people really angry! But no matter what happens, no matter what you might think of our publication, we appreciate your readership. We love you just the way you are!
