The annual TAMUK Greek Games will be starting up on campus next week, beginning with a Dodge ball Tournament on Monday, April 16, at 7pm at the Rec Center.
On Tuesday, there will be a Co-Ed Flag Football game at Javelina Stadium at 6pm. An event called Pandora’s Box will take place on Wednesday at 5pm on the second floor of the Javelina Dining Hall.
Afterwards, Tug of War will take place and a Chariot Race around University Blvd. Thursday, which will be the last day that events (See Greek games Pg. 3)place, will start with a Water Balloon Toss at 5pm, with Capture the Flag following at 6pm. Capture the Flag will take place all over campus.
Following these events, CAB will be hosting an after-party at Mesquite Grove, where winners will be announced and awards will be given.
Moises Hernandez, who is in charge of the Greek Games, says that the Greek life is great for promoting leadership qualities and philanthropies as well.
“This year, we will be giving out a Greek Games trophy to the winner of the games, and the fraternity or sorority that wins it will get to flaunt it for a year,” Hernandez said. “But what we’re really here for is to give back to the community as much as possible.”
