With gusty winds, torrential downpours, and clapping thunder behind us with a week of predicted cool breezes to look forward to, it’s time for the Javelinas to get outside and stretch their legs at this year’s Spring Fling event.
The annual event, which is being organized by the Campus Activities Board in conjunction with the Office of Student Activities, is being held on Wednesday, March 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Attendees can look forward to as many as 85 student organization vendors being available to the public, as well as many colors to be strewn all along University Blvd., which is being reserved for the duration of the event.
Spring Fling serves as a very crucial time for student organizations that will be participating in competitions and events later in the year, affording them the opportunity to get ahead of the curve financially by fundraising. At the same time, students will be able to enjoy the beautiful campus scenery with plenty of food and drinks to go around. Games and events such as face painting and a bounce house will be held, as well as a live musical performance from Wisconsin Electro-Pop duo Lillie Lemon.
Spring Fling is open to the public, and all of Javelina Nation is encouraged to get out and support their local organizations, while also having a fun-filled evening and showing some Hoggie love.
