In a forum organized by the Texas Tribune Students will have a chance to join the conversation with State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. and State Rep. Jose Manuel Lozano, Thursday, Feb. 25.
The forum will be moderated by Texas Tribune CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith. Lucio represents Senate District 27 and is Democrat from Brownsville. He serves as Chairman of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee and Vice Chairman of the Education Committee. He’s a member of the Natural Resources & Economic Development and Veteran Affairs & Military Installation committee along with the Subcommittee on Border Security.
Lozano represents District 43 and is a Republican from Kingsville. He serves as Chairman of the Redistricting Committee and Vice Chairman of the International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. He is a member of the Environmental Regulations Committee.
The agendawill consist of a complimentary lunch at 11:30 a.m. The discussion will be from Noon-1 p.m. The conversation will be held in the Curtis and HP Pinnell Family Memorial Auditorium of the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center in the Stephen “Tio” and Janell Kleberg Wildlife Research Park on 1703 W. Corral Ave. Free parking is available at the site.
